Motionographer recently featured one of the best little ‘commercials’ I’ve ever seen. It’s a stop-motion video designed to express the impact a single design decision can have over time. This 30 second spot draws the connection between the width of roman chariots and the size of space shuttle rockets.
It’s interesting that they chose to create this piece using stop-motion animation, which itself relies on all the arbitrary frame rates made at the conception of motion-based film but stay intact today.
