A Russian Winnie the Pooh?

May 2, 2007

Soviet Pooh

What if the Soviets got their paws on A.A Milnes Winnie The Pooh and made their own non-Disney version? This may sound like some sort of sick joke, but it happened and the results were wonderful!

Independently of Disney, someone in Russia decided to make a Winnie The Pooh cartoon based on the same stories, from the same books.

There are no subtitles but the story is easy enough to figure out. The blob-like, legless, lovable bear is Pooh and you should be able to make out Piglet without too much trouble.

Watching this Soviet rendition of Winnie The Pooh makes me smile. I must find more!

The Russian Winnie the Pooh is wonderful! Thanks for the subtitled version, makes it a little easier for us non-Russian speakers to appreciate his Pooh in all his glory!
