Ever wonder how those summer blockbusters manage to spend so much damn money? I know I have. As it turns out, movie budgeting is still one of Hollywood’s most tightly guarded secrets — probably because the spending breakdowns are so absurd.
The Los Angeles Times has boldly decided to dissect the budget of a royal flop: Sahara. They’ve got the dirty details on everything, from exactly what the actors were paid, to the cost of the faux solar panels. I know it’s hot in the desert, but $105,556 for bottled water is just ridiculous.
